Okay, let's here some thoughts and comments on this question. The comments may not all be the same, but that's okay. Here goes:
The Old Testament has plenty to say about the Israelites. What happened to the Isrealites? Are they still around today? Are they relevent to the Church today?
Let's open it up for discussion.

Anyone that knows Karen knows of her love for the Jewish Nation. In genesis, God lets Abraham Know that he will bless those who bless him and Curse those who curse him..WE are physical descendants of Noah, and spiritual descendants of Abraham, that is, our Nation and our people were birthed out of the sons of Noah after the Flood. Abraham was one of the desecendants of Noah also, and was called by the Lord himself to Father a great nation...Abraham was not from Cannan, but was from UR..present day IRAQ/IRAN..depending where you map it...but he wanted something different...Don't we all..So, we have a couple of neat things about us...We are to bless the Jewish Nation, because that is Gods one true love...and we, although not Jews, are part of Abrahams seed and so when people bless us, they will be blessed, and when people curse us, well they will be cursed...
Why do the Islamic nations of the World still want to rule or annilihate the Jewish nations?
is the Land that good? Is the city that great? is there something special about this land..ie..Gold, Oil.?
Why is there such a fuss about Israel?
What can we do to help the Jewish nation ? When we help Israel, we are helping ourselves, and we will be blessed...
So Pray today, that the Lord , the creator of heaven and earth, will protect and lift up the nation of Israel..Bind the enemy in this area, and see if your life is not changed...The Lord will move on your prayers...it is HIS Nation...Amen

The thought that comes to mind about Israel and all this trouble fighting for land is Abraham taking things into his own hands. Just think if he had trusted God fully without question, there'd be no Ishmael and no struggle.
It just makes me wonder how many of our current struggles are caused by our lack of trust and doing things on our own strenght.
