It's been 2 years!

It's been two years since I have posted here! That doesn't even sound right! So much has happened since last posting! I've lost 40 pounds so I have made some lifestyle changes. I'll be sharing some of these changes on this blog.
I am still home schooling and loving it. We will be home schooling through high school. I am enjoying every minute. I love having the kids at home and all that entails. It's about the time of year I will start evaluating for next year. WHat is working this year? What needs to change? David will be a 9th grader so I need to be doing some extra study on keeping his transcript! WOW! High school! Seems like yesterday he was in kindergarten!
Well, I have a full day in front of me.

Many, many blessings!

Question of the day.

Okay, let's here some thoughts and comments on this question. The comments may not all be the same, but that's okay. Here goes:
The Old Testament has plenty to say about the Israelites. What happened to the Isrealites? Are they still around today? Are they relevent to the Church today?

Let's open it up for discussion.

Many, many blessings!

Wondering about Dane?

I know you all are asking yourselves, "what about Dane? What is he doing?". Well, enquiring minds will have to wait. I am tired, tired, tired and need to get to bed. All I can say is all you golf fans look for him because he is planning on tearing up the Senior Golf Open!! (Not kidding!) (No really, I am not kidding!!).

Keeping in touch!

It is my desire to help keep in touch with those loved ones we have met along the way. Some live near and some live far. I would love to share what is going on in my life but sometimes it is a challenge to do just that, to stay in touch. I may not always have time to during "normal" hours to pick up a phone. It seems like my extra times come in the late night hours! I hope those of you that find your way to this blog will come regularly...and share. I would love to hear all that is going on in your life. Check regularly, I hope to have lot's of little goodies for you along the way! Many, many blessings!and lots of love!Karen

Suggestions for an ipod?

Hey, all!
I am looking into getting an ipod. I will be using it to download audios from itunes for when I am around about town. I want a lot of "memory". Not sure if that is the right terminology. Want to be able to download a few podcast and have some praise and worship on there as well.
I don't know about you, but I feel like it is time to get filled up to overflowing!!
Anyone have one they are pleased with?

Many, many blessings!

Great start to the week-end!

  • Dear Friends,

What a great start to the week-end! My oldest son, David, and I went to see one of my absolute favorite preachers, Billye Brim, http://www.billyebrim.com, . She was at a quaint, little church at a small town nearby. She has assisted John Hagee head up Christians United for Israel, http://www.cufi.org/ and speaks nationally at Nights to Honor Israel. It was a great time at church. Even though we were sitting in a church setting, when she begins to teach and tell her stories, it was as though we curled up on the couch listening to a dear old friend tell stories. So refreshing and so interesting! This is quite amazing since her message is far from "warm and fuzzy". Her cal is to be a witness to these times we are living in. She is an incredible teacher on the end-times. This women has been chased by the KGB smuggling in Bibles when it was the former Soviet Union. She also has powerful teaching on prayer and the blood of Jesus. She has a ministry in Branson, MO, Prayer Mountain in the Ozarks. These are beautiful cabins that are devoted for quiet times and prayer. I would love to go their for a few days with my husband. Additianally, she owns water-front property in Israel and has set up ministry there. She has been called to show Christian love to the Jews. She is so down-to-earth and so refreshing! I just love her and her ministry and I thank the Lord for her. Tomorrow, Sunday, she is teaching on the believer's authority. How I wish I could go but I have commitments at my home church. My husband and I will be teaching children's church.

This is a poem she passed out in a packet of information. I thought it might encourage you.

  • Authority
  • When mountain walls confront the way.
  • Why sit and weep? Arise and say
  • "be thou removed!" and they shall be
  • by the power of God cast in the sea.
  • All power on earth, all power in heaven,
  • To Christ, the Son of God, is given;
  • And from the throne He will endue,
  • And hindrances will flee from you.
  • O'er all the power of fiend and man
  • Say through the Lord, "I surely can",
  • Take from Him power on earth to tread
  • On serpent's sting, on dragon's head.
  • Whate'er thou art, O mountain high,
  • Where'er thou art, in earth or sky,
  • Whene'er thou art, truth is the same,
  • "Be thou removed, in Jesus name."
  • "Be thou removed!" Faith bids thee start
  • I may, I can, I must, I will
  • The purpose of my God fulfill.
